Which designer labels do you carry?

We have our own private label, which is entirely designed and styled in Australia. All of our gowns are constructed using the best quality fabrics and laces, with exquisite hand beading and embroidery techniques that incorporate gorgeous jewel work with stunning crystals.

Where are your gowns made?

All of our couture gowns and a large proportion of our ready-to-wear gowns are manufactured in Vietnam with a small proportion of budget gowns manufactured in China. Both manufacturers utilise up-to-date fabrication and beading techniques with an exceptional standard in quality. All of our gowns are constructed with a meticulous attention to detail and now feature an enhanced bodice for a super hour-glass figure.

With labour and materials becoming increasingly expensive, many manufacturers have had no choice but to move off shore for gown production, with Asia now becoming the "dressmaking" captial of the world. Many mid and higher end designer labels are now also manufactured in asia. All of our manufacturers have been vetted for quality, repeatability and fashion forward fabrication techniques to maintain a high level of dependability.

We have found (whilst doing our research) that many bridal stores will actually cut the "made in" label out of the dress to try and hide where the dress was actually manufactured. Next time you're in a bridal store, sneak a peek at the "made in" tag (if you can actually find one!), or ask the consultant where the dress was made. If it was made overseas they will either avoid the question or try and fumble their way through it.

We believe in full disclosure and are not embarressed to tell you exactly where our garments are made. We stand by our manufacturing quality and have nothing to hide.

How far in advance should I start looking for my gown?

We suggest at least 8-12 months ahead of your planned wedding date to ensure that you have enough time for the gown to arrive and have any alterations made without the added stress of running out of time.

How long does it take for my gown to arrive once it has been ordered?

A 6 month waiting period for bridal gowns is standard. We can do a rush order inside of 4 months under certain circumstances, however, this will be on a case by case basis and dependant on season and production schedule.

Debutante gowns require a minimum of 3 months to arrive. We cannot rush orders for these gowns. For those wanting a gown inside 3 months of the debutante ball, we suggest purchasing a sale gown off the rack to avoid dissappointment.

Are appointments necessary?

Appointments are preferred to ensure that we can give you the attention and professional service you deserve. Whilst we will do our best to accommodate “walk ins”, those with appointments will be given first preference to change rooms and service.

Are alterations included in the cost of the gown?

No. Alterations are always at an additional cost. Whilst we will try our best to minimise alterations as best we can, there will always be adjustments to achieve the perfect fit. It is recommended that you budget from 10-20% of the purchase price of the gown for alterations. Your sales consultant can advise at time of purchase.

Only gowns made through the" Design Service" will include the alteration costs in the quoted price.

Can you do my alterations or do I have to take the dress off site?

We have a qualified alterations seamstress available to make any required alterations. Your first fitting will be with your consultant. If the alterations are minor, your dress will be prepared for alterations at this time. If the gown has been assessed as requiring more complex alterations, you will be required to come in on a Thursday night between 6-8pm for a special fitting with the seamstress. This is to ensure that the alterations are done to your satisfaction and comfort. She will provide you with an alterations quote. Whilst we do not recommend taking the gown off site for alterations you do have the option of taking the gown elsewhere to have it altered. However, if you choose this option, we will not accept the gown for repair, cleaning or any alterations once the gown has been handled off site.

Are you accredited with the Australian Bridal Service?

Yes we are. By being accredited by the ABS we agree to abide by their rules of service and professional practice.

Are your prices affected by the Australian Dollar?

Yes. Whilst we maintain a reasonable buffer a major fall in the Australian Dollar will increase prices. However, we will honour the following:

a. Quotes given within 2 weeks prior to the price change

b. Purchases made with a 50% deposit prior to the price change

Am I limited in the number of gowns I can try on?

No. You can try on as many gowns as you like, and browse the racks at your leisure. If you find something you like, you are more than welcome to give it a go. However, whilst our gowns are not sold off the rack, we expect you to treat the gowns with respect and not abuse our generosity in allowing you some freedom.

Can you provide advice on styling or gowns to suit my body type?

Of course! Because these gowns are our designs, we know how they fit, and who they fit best. This gives us the advantage of providing you with the right gown for your body type. In addition, our friendly staff are experienced in styling the fuller figured bride and understands the issues associated with finding a well fitted and well styled gown.

Are changes permitted to your gowns?

No. All gowns will be ordered as per the sample. However, we provide a range of add-ons to allow you to personalise your gown, and fabric substitution is permitted. However, our gowns are have already been produced in the fabric that best suits the style of the gown. Therefore, some fabric substitutions may not be suitable. Your consultant can advise on fabric availability.

Do you have accessories?

Yes. We carry a wide range of jackets / boleros, petticoats, veils and headpieces.

Do you have bridesmaids or mother of the bride gowns?

No. Our main focus is debutante and bridal gowns. Our philosophy is to concentrate on one aspect of the market and do it well.

Are gowns available in alternative colours?

Gowns are always available in white, diamond white and ivory. Some gowns may specifically be produced in champagne or black. Alternative colours will depend on fabric and colour availability.

Do you make the dresses in my size or do you use a standard size chart?

We use a series of standard size charts – standard, plus size, and petite. We also have the added benefit of split sizing our gowns to minimise alterations. We try our best to minimise having to take the dress in too many dress sizes as this often distorts the overall appearance of the gown. Our debutante gowns and bridal gowns will come in a standard hollow to hem length, with the availability of extra or deducted length for a surcharge.

Many times, petite brides may look odd with waists sitting too low or skirts that just don't quite sit right. This is because the dress was made with a particular height in mind. The opposite occurs for tall brides. Waists sit too high and hems are often too short. By ordering extra or reduced length you ensure that you maintain the correct proportions of the dress.

Do you have gowns for hire?

No, we do not hire gowns. However, we always have a range of gowns available for sale off the rack at very affordable prices.

Do you buy back dresses or take dresses on consignment?

No, we do not buy back or take gowns on consignment.

When can I use the design service?

The design service is a unique option allowing you to create a special and unique gown showing off your individual personality. Gowns through this service are still constructed in their entirety off shore. The service is open to anyone who can’t find exactly what they’re looking for and still wants to be pampered without the $10000 price tag. This option is available to all sizes. This is not for those looking to create a designer knock off.
